Piper Tomahawk History

The development started in 1977. It entered service in 1978. Tomahawk was the first all new two seat produced trainer. It was developed to be inexpensive to be used for training purposes. It had T-tail and NASA Whitcomb wings. It had a wider canopy with 360 degree view. The undercarriage wheels and elevators were interchangeable. It was a very economical plane. Improvements like improved sound proofing, windscreen defrosting, door latching and nose wheel design were introduced in he late versions.
