P-47 HistoryIt was developed in Second World War. It was a heavy 7 ton fighter. It was build to intercept fighter and to hit ground target with accuracy. Its structure and engines could withstand damage then any other fighter. It could escort bomber up to Berlin with drop tanks installed. While it was in service most of the bomber divisions were equipped with mustang instead of p-47.
