Focke-Wulf Fw-190 HistoryIt made its maiden flight on 1 June 1939. It was modernized plane replacing many other fighters and imposed a huge threat to the allied bombers and escort fighters. In early 1940 it appeared in France and became a champion until in 1941 spitfire of United States was developed. 40 versions were developed according to the purpose in which they had to be used i.e. fighter, fighter/bomber, escort etc.
