F-104 History

The design was developed in 1952 by C.L. "Kelly" Johnson. It flew for the first time in 1954. at that time it was the first plane to fly twice the speed of sound. it made records of top speed ever on May 18, 1958 with a maximum speed of 2246km/h and height altitude on December 14, 1959 which flew at 31331 m. it is a day night fighter plane extremely thin flight surfaces, short straight wings with negative dihedral, irreversible hydraulically powered ailerons, and a controllable horizontal stabilizer. An upward ejection system was also installed. Different versions were also introduced which included single seat and two seat as well as renaissance planes.
