DC-3 HistoryThe development project started in 1934. It made its maiden flight on December 17 1935. It was market success and huge numbers were built. It provided with passenger comfort. It became a standard for military transport in Second World War and 10,000 were built for that purpose. It was used both in United States of America as well as in United Kingdom. After the war it proved to be the backbone of most of the airlines. More powerful version of dc-3 was unsuccessful.
