Boeing 747
History
Boeing 747 made its first flight on February 9 1969. It entered service in December 1969. The basic 747-100 entered the service with Pan American. It was developed to accommodate nearly 500 passengers more then any other plane could possibly carry. Many versions of Boeing 747 were built. Each with better technology and more capacity. It is also notable for being the first airliner to use fuel efficient, high bypass turbofans.
