Airbus a380 HistoryThe project study for A380 started in 1990s. The Airbus A380 development project was launched on December 19, 2000. It will make its maiden flight in 2004 and will enter service in 2006. Different design formats were offered but Airbus selected the twin deck design as it is lighter. The A380 is being designed in such a way that it has lesser noise, fuel consumption, per seat fair, and it also ensures larger space, better seats and longer range. Airbus aims to deliver a complete plane so that the basic version is not changed by the newer versions in several years. A380 will be assembled in Toulouse and the interior will be decorated in Hamburg.
