Airbus a330 HistoryThe A330 project was launched in 1995. A330 made its maiden flight on August 13 1997. It is a replacement to A300-600 and a competitor of 767-300ER. The cost factor is reduced by introducing the same fly-by-wire control system developed for the A320. Two versions are developed A330-200 and A330-300.
